About Me

Grace Dunkley is the author of "Memories Have No Editing Ability" (a collection of poems)and is a native of Jamaica who now resides in the U.S. and has been writing poetry for quite sometime. Her poetry is featured in the International Library of Poetry collection. A working mother, grandmother, colon cancer survivor and a woman who has lived life in all its modes her poetry is infused with a depth of wisdom and insight borne from experience. She eloquently captures the warm, fragrant nights and the lazy days of the tropics with its kaleidoscopic colors crowned by the more sober tones of North America. Contained in her lyrics are the rise and fall of the island's rhythmic life, the hopes of a young girl and the realities of a mature woman. Based on this insight about her poetry, she plans to bring the same flavor to this Blog. Now, read on and enjoy.
